Seoul, Republic of Korea – 25 September 2025 – Payap University President Apicha Insuwan and Seoul Media Institute of Technology (SMIT) President Hee Han signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 25 September 2025 in Seoul, Korea. The partnership is a landmark to enhancing closer international collaboration between the two institutions.
The MoU establishes a platform for exchange in academics, collaborative research, and dual graduate degrees with the emphasis being the introduction of a “1+1” master’s degree dual program in Business and Software Engineering. Through this program, students will be able to spend one year at their home institution and one year at the partner institution, receiving dual degrees from both Payap and SMIT.
The agreement also makes provision for opportunities to
- Graduate student mobility with at the host institution.
- Exchanges of faculty and researchers to support teaching, joint research, and academic development.
- Collaborative projects including co-authored publications and international conferences.
- Scholarship programs for enhancing the mobility of students and access.
The MoU will run for five years and can be extended, which represents the joint commitment of Payap University and SMIT to the encouragement of international cooperation, academic excellence, and student success.
